Cerro el Plomo is a mountain located in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago. With an altitude of 5424 meters, is the highest point visible from the city of Santiago de Chile.

Travel Program


Itinerary

Day 01: Santiago - Valle Nevado - Tres puntas - Piedra Numerada 3300 m / 10,826 ft
Departure from Santiago/Transfer to Valle Nevado and then Tres Puntas from there we will begin our trek until to Piedra Enumerada.(1 hrs aprox.)

Day 02: Acclimatization.
Piedra Numerada to Cerro Bismarck Acclimatization hike.(6 hrs aprox.)

Day 03: Piedra Numerada Camp - Federation 4400 m / 14,435 ft
Breakfast in the Morning,we begin our trek to the camp federation (3 hrs aprox.)

Day 04: Federation - Summit Cerro El Plomo 5424 m / 17,795 ft - Federation
We got up at 04:00 to get out at 05:00 am. We will upload quietly up to the Refuge Agostini and then continue to the pirka del Indio. A few meters we have a glacier crossing about 100 meters, there will use crampons, ice axes. After crossing we continue straight to the Summit, from there we can see a spectacular view, as the Aconcagua,Pintor, Marmolejo and others. (6 hrs aprox up)

Day 05: Federation - Valle Nevado - Santiago
Breakfast in the morning, walk to Tres puntas/Transfer to Valle Nevado / Santiago.
